This October, I’ve teamed up with Jongga, Korea’s biggest No. 1 kimchi brand, to launch (P)reserve a Table, a free two-night dinner event here at Dirt Candy that’s part of their Generation Preservation campaign. The dinners will take place on Friday, October 7th and Saturday, October 8th.
We’ll be serving a five-course tasting menu highlighting Jongga Kimchi and fall vegetable varieties that have been protected thanks to the efforts made by Jongga’s non-profit partner, Seed Savers Exchange.
The dinner is free to attend. Reservations are limited to two seats per party and must be booked through our Resy page. All reservations start at 6:30PM and all guests will be seated at communal tables.
With this campaign, Jongga is connecting the Korean tradition of making kimchi – with fermentation at its core – to a more universal call to preserve the fruits and vegetables we enjoy every day.
NOTE: We are preparing a vegetarian and a vegan version of the menu, but unfortunately we can’t accommodate any other dietary restrictions.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Although the dinner is free, a credit card is needed to hold your reservation. You may cancel up to 24 hours before the dinner with no penalty, but if you cancel within 24 hours or less you will be charged $25.00 per guest (the cancellation fees will be donated to Jongga’s non-profit partner, Seed Savers Exchange.)
You can return here to (P)reserve your table on Friday, September 23rd at 9:00 AM.
